Questions.

I just want to take some time and pose a few questions to the masses to make some of us think. Because thinking is something that I feel is VERY often neglected in today's society.

1. Why is it that we have fewer people willing to take the role of a leader than those who are simply just willing to follow?

2. Why are we so willing to believe what we read and see without asking questions?

3. What is your motivation each day when you wake up?

Take time to THINK!

It's odd how only after college did I really begin to read. And also how many words I had to and still have to look up in the dictionary because I don't know what they mean. I didn't understand how important language was and is until I figured it out on my own. I'm going to write more about this, but for now here is a video that explains somewhat how I feel.

seasons

Summer. Autumn. Winter. Spring.

The seasons are such a perfect expression for the cycle of life. I absolutely dislike the cold, but I appreciate the winter. I can't stand having a runny nose from pollen infested air, but I'm grateful for the spring. All the seasons are absolutely perfect. The whole idea of life and death is laid out before us each year, and it's as if we live only seeing or enjoying the particular season we have as our favorite, which most of us do. Learn to a appreciate the rainy days as much as the sunny days. Learn to enjoy a cold day as much as a warm day. We can't change the weather, but we can value and make use of whatever season we are in.

Where are the innovators?

When was the last time we had a new "wheel"? It seems we have settled for mediocrity, for comfort. Where have all the giant leaps of discovery and exploration gone? From the late 1800's to the first half of the 1900's was when I believe some of the greatest ideas were made into reality; electricity, motion picture, music reproduction, radio. Most things we have now are "hi-tech" adaptations of those first things. I'm not saying adaptations don't deserve their credit or are not innovative, but where are those flashes of lightning that change the course of history? I'm not only talking about technology, but also of art, medicine, education, science, ethics, etc. We as citizens of this planet have become lazy, we have become fearful, we stopped caring. We have become self-centered and reliant on the few that still seek to create and give the world something new. I suppose we need to change the way we see things, in order to see new things.

first and foremost

For those of you who care to read, learn, be entertained, I will be posting thoughts, photos, music, likes, dislikes; a plethora of what I find and care to share. There are too many things to discover out there, so I hope I can uncover a few things for myself and for others.
